Anyway, not all of us want a huge, gaudy rock. They key is to figure out what SHE wants. Size vs. quality is a matter of personal preference.

My current ring is a band of alternating tiny diamonds and emeralds...my sweetie already owned it, so it didn't cost her anything...and I love it just as much. Depending on what she's like, you can consider vintage/estate and spend a lot less (or get a lot "more").

What I don't know is everything. I've seen rings that were like a chip of diamond and I can't go there, her family would never let me live that down.
