Summer Memories

cool sun
When I was about 6, my mom set up a tent on top of the fresh green grass in the back yard. There would be comfy blankets in there and it was nice to feel like I was outside but really the tent kept the mosquitos out too!

I could bring something to read/look at, a juicebox, and I always had the portable cassette player running on huge C-cell Duracel batteries.

I remember listening to:

music cool sun

Going to beach on Friday nights with all my family. Back when my parents were still together, right after my dad got home from work we would head to the beach in the evening and just hang out for the night enjoying each others company. We'd take food, snacks, drinks and sit around the bonfire and the cool night breeze was the best smile

When I was a kid, once a week, my aunt and I would go down to our favorite park that is right by the Hudson River. We would take snacks and sit on the grass and look at the water and we would also collect shells. I think I may still have some of the shells that we found.

I haven't gone to that park in a long time. I kind of feel like going back and checking it out hmmm

My best summer memories would be, when all my Aunts, Uncles and cousins would come to town, and all my cousins would stay at my house. We would camp out on the living room floor, watching scary movies, while our parents were at the dance. biggrin Those were some good times.

Many hands make lightwork or so they say. Whoever they are. Make sure to always put the canvas on too to prevent leakages.

I loved as a child I could play outside to much later in the evening, because it was still light.

It was so exciting! lol
I remember we had to clean our classroom and polish our desks before we left.
One summer I left my lunchbox in my desk and for 8 weeks and it had egg sandwiches in. lol

All time grestest summer time song has got to be this though.

It always puts me in a summery mood.

I was young, but after all that cleaning, when we came back after the hols, our classroom STUNK!!!! lol

Oh I loved that song when it was released. I used to hang out at the park with all my mates, and all the guys would hang out too, drive their sports cars onto the park green, with music pumping out their stereos (just like the video), everyone was so happy, it was a really great summer feeling.
