Raw foods

There was a thread not so long ago about a raw food diet. I can't find it now.
I do like alot of raw foods and was wondering what you like eating raw.

I will start:
Carrots
Fresh peas
Turnip
Onion
Fish (sushi)
mushrooms
Steak (sometimes) blue

I don't really like many vegetables cooked. The only one I can think of is plantains, but I don't think you are supposed to eat them raw hmmm

That sucks! sad

I found out the hard way. I didn't try them until last year when I decided I would just throw some into my salad that I was making at a salad bar. About 10 minutes after I finished eating, I thought I was going to die. I don't think I have ever been in ao much pain as I was that day. It also happened a couple of months after that, but that was by mistake. I got a veggie wrap without reading what was inside of it. I ate half of it and then I noticed the mushrooms disbelief

Wow!

So, you're 22, and you had NEVER tried mushrooms until a year ago?? That's crazy!

Well, I'm a picky eater and I don't really like to try new foods very often.

The people that know about my allergy found the situation strange, but the thing is that there aren't mushrooms in Dominican meals and that is what I usually eat. That's why it took me this long to try them.

Tsk tsk. Not in my mom's household you wouldn't be a picky eater. You would eat what she made, or you wouldn't eat.

My sister (and my) least favourite foods would have to be Liver, and Turnips. Once, when my sister was a teen, mom made both of these things for the same dinner! And we hated them! But my mom would always say, "if you don't like it, you can buy your own dinner". So this time my sister thought that was a good idea and went out to get some of her own food, but then mom said "oh no you don't, you eat what I made". So she still was stuck with about the 2 worst foods ever conceived. Apparently she cried, and I can't blame her smile.

Anyway, you should try new things. You just might like them.

I am 100% organic raw vegan. I do not eat cooked food. This is the most healthy way for a human to eat. Most people think eating only raw food is just carrots and celery, however, there is a large community of raw chefs who can mimick cooked food. We can make pasta and spagetti noodles using zuchinni, nuts and seeds ground up to make "burgers" and carob for chocolate sweetness.

The following food is all raw:

Why raw? Well, raw food still has a life force and still contains precious enzymes. Cooking food destroys and alters most of the nutrient structure and kills the enzymes. Enzymes are the life energy, and if you are what you eat, "live" food is living food and cooked food is dead. Think about this: If you took a living seed and planted it in your backyard, a plant would grow from it. If you cook it, then plant it, nothing will happen. There is no life energy left in it.
