Honest, i think that it's the 1st time in my whole life that i'm really, deeply happy 2 b alone (i.e. not in a relationship).

B4, i could b ok with it but deeply in my heart i always wished i'd meet someone, & most of the time i was really looking 4ward 2 my next relationship.

Now, after 5 years of almost permanently being in relationships & 3 of said relationships being very important & serious (which is kind of a lot in a 5 years' span, i guess), i just wanna b on my own 4 a (long) while. I'm happy like that. Really.

I almost can't believe it. Have u ever been alone & really, honestly, deeply happy 2 b so?

I would have to say yes! I went without a relationship for almost 5 yrs. I was more focused on raising my kids, that I didn't care if I had a man in my life or not. Then one day, when I was looking, bam, I met someone.

I have for short periods of time before. There are some advantages of being alone some times.
I was in a relationship where I was virtually alone so it feels better to be totally alone when compared to that.

Love being alone, hate being lonely.

But after being in a relationship for 11 yrs I dont know that I want to be alone for too long, its' hard to get used to.

I have been happy to be alone in the past. I was dating someone for about a year and half and then I was single for almost a year and it was awesome. I then had a few shorter relationships and now I am single again. This time, I am absolutely hating it. It has been making me feel frustrated lately. I don't want to be single right now and I really want to have a serious relationship, but I can not find the right man for myself.

I’ve been alone for the past 7 years (not in a relationship) I had acquaintances but no relationships. I don’t choose to be alone forever but I’m glad I given myself this time alone to honestly figure out and get to know what I want…don’t want, need…don’t need and, most importantly, to know and better understand myself without the outside influences of being in a relationship can bring like love, guilt, and so on.

B4 these 4 years of being with someone it was 5 years of unvolontary lonelyness with some few months relationships here & some one nite stands there & months of nothing in between. These 5 years WERE long but in the end...

since the age of 18 I've never been single more than a few weeks
