The firefighters I always see posing here are too hairy for me I never used to. And it's only certina uniforms. It's a taste I picked up over the last few years. I don't know why. |

Yes, I like milk. I don't tend to drink it often - only in coffee or with cereal - but I like a nice cold glass now and again. Oh, and it must be semi-skimmed.

JDInteractive said: Do you like milk?! I seem to drink loads of it. I like it really freezing cold. I drink semi-skimmed and it's delivered to my door by the milkman. Although in the past I've had to buy it in the shops. You? i basically lived off milk as my main source of protein for years. i found my thirst for milk decreased when i started drinking protein shakes though. It took me a while to wean myself from 1% to skim but now of course anything but skim tastes funny. milk is also what i crave when i am hung over! people find that really stomach churning but it's what makes me feel better. in the summer i used to drink it on ice... it's quite nice my sister used to get milk delivery... but it was in the cartons - not the glass bottles. you hung a sign in the window on your delivery day that said "no milk today" or something like that if you didn't need any. i live in a different city and in an older area. i've never heard of milk deliveries here lol.

I love milk. Full fat and non-homogenized -- so the cream rises to the top. I buy it directly from a family farm that pastures their herd.
I also buy cream from the same people. Where ordinary grocery store cream has a fat content of 35% -- theirs is 52%. I used it to make sour cream and tart cherry ice cream yesterday. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I use to love milk and drank it everyday but I can't drink it anymore.

I used to drink two gallons of skim milk a week as part of my protein shakes, now I don't drink any milk and hold less water under my skin. So no more milk for me. I never really liked it anyway.

Milk is for calves.
Corporate-owned factories where cows are warehoused in huge sheds and treated like milk machines have replaced most small family farms. With genetic manipulation and intensive production technologies, it is common for modern dairy cows to produce 100 pounds of milk a day— 10 times more than they would produce in nature. To keep milk production as high as possible, farmers artificially inseminate cows every year. Growth hormones and unnatural milking schedules cause dairy cows' udders to become painful and so heavy that they sometimes drag on the ground, resulting in frequent infections and overuse of antibiotics. Cows— like all mammals— make milk to feed their own babies— not humans. Mmmmmm. Pasturized puss, blood, and growth hormones. Dairy products are a health hazard. They contain no fiber or complex carbohydrates and are laden with saturated fat and cholesterol. They are contaminated with cow's blood and pus and are frequently contaminated with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics. Dairy products are linked to allergies, constipation, obesity, heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. The late Dr. Benjamin Spock, America's leading authority on child care, spoke out against feeding cow's milk to children, saying it can cause anemia, allergies, and insulin-dependent diabetes and in the long term, will set kids up for obesity and heart disease, America's number one cause of death. And dairy products may actually cause osteoporosis, not prevent it, since their high-protein content leaches calcium from the body. Population studies, backed up by a groundbreaking Harvard study of more than 75,000 nurses, suggest that drinking milk can actually cause osteoporosis. Harvard School of Public Health, on the Consumption of Dairy Products (2005): “The recommendation to drink three glasses of low-fat milk or eat three servings of other dairy products per day to prevent osteoporosis is another step in the wrong direction. … Three glasses of low-fat milk add more than 300 calories a day. This is a real issue for the millions of Americans who are trying to control their weight. What's more, millions of Americans are lactose intolerant, and even small amounts of milk or dairy products give them stomachaches, gas, or other problems. This recommendation ignores the lack of evidence for a link between consumption of dairy products and prevention of osteoporosis. It also ignores the possible increases in risk of ovarian cancer and prostate cancer associated with dairy products.” http://www.milksucks.com carpe noctem - die nacht ist lang

One of the worst things to put in your body. Causes allergies. Contains hormones which is meant to bring a baby calf to 600 pounds in about 6 months, so it throws off the human body. As was just posted, cows are hooked up to machines which over tax them and store bought milk contains blood and puss. Get rid of dairy and you'll clear up alot of your health problems.
