Awwwww
One night,I was in so much pain from my wisdom tooth. My fiance took me to the dental school. I was like "No way and Im gonna let some college kid take out my tooth!" But I couldnt wait another minute!
They did a good job,it didnt hurt. I had the rest taken out, that same day. It was like 60 bucks.

What is a root canal? How does one know when it's time to get wisdom teeth pulled? Which teeth are those?

Sorry that I don't know. I have no cavities and only go to the dentist for cleanings.

Hang in there. Muse, I know the pain factor is a mutha. I feel for you. The most pain I encoutered that even came close to your situation was having all 4 of my Wisdom teeth removed simultanesously.

I had a sweet tooth as a kid, probably had 3 or 4 fillings, had a brace and then a plate before being told my jaw had grown and was moving everything around again, dropped the brace because I was 17 and wanted a gf (big mistake, I had no game anyway), came to Thailand, looked after my teeth as far as keeping them very clean and everything, but haven't been to a dentist in 5 years now. boxed

Now, I started smoking 3 years ago and gave up a couple of months ago, but have always been meticulous about keeping my choppers clean. However, I've used quite a bit of whitening stuff since the smoking started and I'm pretty sure I've done some major damage. I'm just waiting for something to kick off in my mouth and cause a world of pain, but until then I'm loathe to go to a dentist. I don't even know if it's because I'm here in Thailand specifically, or whether it's just dentists in general. I haven't been to either a doctor or dentist in 6 years, and that was for a HIV test :gulp: and so it's probably been 7 or 8 years. I think I'm developing a phobia. I've had a quite obviously torn achilles, many back spasms, a hyper-extended knee (again! old injury), severe chest pains and an ankle injury that had me off my feet for a week, yet still I've never been to a hospital here. hmmm

OH LAWD!!!

VICODIN! VICODIN! VICODIN!

For $800 I would've demanded a fondling to go with that root canal....but that's just me.

poor baby! pat A denist told me to take 2 tylenols and two motrins at the same time and that'll equal one pain medication that she would have given me and it did work... I hate taking drugs! But I was ok...

Thanks guys... I think i won the wrong lottery.... One in a zillion experience severe pain and problems like I am having.... If one more client, friend or family member says " eek I never had ANY pain after they fixed it." I am going to personally cause them a whole lot of pain. I have had 2 C-sections and in 24 hours took a few tylenol no problem I can take pain. I am still suffering badly. I did call the Dr. and he swares im fine give it another day...

I can't be up a 3rd night in a row so I have cancelled my clients for tomorrow and have taken a VICODIN! I don't do well with meds ( there is a reason my medicine cabinets are filled with perfume....) so wish me luck....

mad I feel like I have lost 3 days of my life.

Whew! Where do I begin? Any pain in the chest, above the diaphragm, is considered cardiac in origin unless otherwise ruled out.(according to cardiologists) If you've never been treated for these symptoms before, you need to see a physician. 30 and 40 year olds have heart attacks. Think Jim Fixx, the famous runner, who died of a heart attack in his 40's.
I read recently those over the counter whitening formulas for teeth erode the enamel.
Are you bedridden???? I would be....

As bad as a root canal is, my husband had a problematic bad tooth, bottom and in the back. He decided to just get it pulled, rather than anything else done. (We have dental insurance)
He had it removed yesterday. The tooth he had in mind, that was going to be removed, isn't the one taken out.....
