does sleeping with a transexual make you gay? if you sleep with a woman who used to be a man (or vice versa), isn't that still kinda homosexually?

if you didn't know it until after the event, I think it would be kind of traumatic!

SLeeping with anyone doesn't make you straight or gay. You are straight or gay before sleeping with them.

No, silly!
You become gay only by watching musicals and listening to Barbara Streisand. I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

If I was to have sex with a man and found out they used to be a woman, that doesn't change the fact I am gay. that's the truth. I'd even take it a step farther and say I could knowingly have sex with a man and it wouldn't necessarily make me gay, it would simply mean I'd had sex with a man (unless it turned out I was into that) My Legacy

I can't say for sure but I bet much of that is about power. I've gone plenty of time w/o a girlfriend and didn't resort to sex w/men. But I really have no idea, thank god! My Legacy

Some claim, and I would agree to a large extend, that sex is mostly about power relations. I always wondered why are the prison rapists are somewhat worshiped and even admired by other inmates. It is also interesting to see how the weaker inmates (who did not have any homosexual experiences beforehand) sometimes willingly take on the role of the submissive "bitch" and begin prostituting themselves for protection, cigarettes, drugs. Who's "gay" in such a relationship? [Edited 7/20/07 17:36pm] I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

Who's "gay" in such a relationship? [Edited 7/20/07 17:36pm] well, again, if it's about power then neither has to be gay. The rapist gets respect because he has power and the weaker one prostitutes himself because he has no power or is trying to gain some. But I'm sure many prisoners are also homosexual, and that would be a different story. Also gay experiences may bring latent desires to the front. I think everyone is perhaps a certain shade of gray, not 100% gay or straight. Even though I love women and have no desire to be with a man, maybe that only overshadows a tiny side of me that likes men. Maybe homosexual experiences (and the absence of women) would develop that side. My Legacy

Er, no. If it's a woman now, it's a woman. Case closed. And if the person is mid-op? Well I guess that would depend on whether or not she viewed herself as "really" a woman yet, or somewhere in between. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Willing, knowing actions demonstrate our desires. I'm not so sure. I've eaten plenty of olives, but I don't like them. Granted sex is more of a big deal than eating an olive, but I'm sure plenty of people experiment and find they didn't like it. My Legacy

I guess that depends on what you identify the transsexual as. If you identify them as a man still, even after the surgery, then there's something other-than-straight going on there.
But if you identify them as female, just as they always have, then that would make you straight. Your perception of their sexuality would play the key role here moreso than the equipment they once had, since it's the preception that you're reacting to anyways.
