Quirkiness Ain't that a great word?? I love it. What is 'quirkiness' to you? How do you define it? How quirky do you think you are? Do other people notice? Do you embrace this part of your character? Or are you embarrassed by it? Or are you just plain odd?? Come out, come out, of the closet you quirky MFs!

Hey Steve - it's nice to see you back in GD. Nah, it's when people say "I'm wacky, me. Crazy!" - that's what I hate. They usually mean 'ANNOYING'. The reason I ask is because I was just thinking how very quirky I can be, sometimes. (So: weird, by your definition ). I don't think a lot of people 'get' it, including my mates. But I also just realised how much I quite like being that way. I sometimes try to suppress my inner quirk but I'm always much happier being that way. Even if it gets odd looks. It's almost trippy. Am I rambling here? I think the Org is full of people all shades of quirky. Expose yourselves!

That isn't bad I talk and sing to myself even when I know people are around. I even sing along to the music playing in stores when I am out shopping. Sometimes I start dancing to the music too.

Quirkiness - Peculiar behavior
Am I quirky? You better believe it People notice it all the time. It is definitely something I do embrace because it is just part of my personality.

Quirky? Not sure if I am or not, unless a bit of OCD counts as quirky. Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

It's a bit weird when people call themselves quirky. It's like calling yourself "exotic" or "fascinating" or something else that is for others to decide.

Quirkiness to me is being a little 'of the wall' I think. I think Im very quirky which to some extent is part of my charm. There's Joy In Expatriation.

You could be right. But I have ever, ever heard anyone say they are 'exotic' or 'fascinating'. I think I would have to give them a wide berth.

A bartender once said to me: "I've seen you around here before and I never realised you are gay - I just thought you were weird. You have an aura of weirdness around you".
Then I blew him off in a toilet cubicle. As to whether or not I am weird - who knows? Maybe I'm just a slut. I should add that I don't make a habit of having sex in toilets. It was years ago. I was like 23 or something. I'm not George Michael or anything.

i don't think that's entirely true- i can think of several people i know who could call themselves quirky without objection from anyone.

i don't think that's entirely true- i can think of several people i know who could call themselves quirky without objection from anyone. Some people are known to be naturally quirky, others aren't. I have come across many characters who I would class as quirky, and I love their individualism, they are just being themselves, but stand out from the norm. I think of "quirky" as different from just being an unusual or strange person. I think of quirky people being sort of all over the place. . . having personality traits or habits that are surprising, or inconsistent.
I think I'm overall weird, but I don't know that I'd really describe myself as quirky. I'm a freak in a global, consistent sort of way. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
