My Job status at six flags LOL

Well, it's official. I'll be escaping...I mean leaving in 2 weeks. I can't take it ANYMORE! I think I may hate humans now. I've been so stressed out that I got sick on Firday night on my way home and have been since. For a 19 year old, I think that's too much. I'm trying to focus on college and my music but THIS job prevents me from that.

So when I get better, I'm saying bye bye and on the hunt for a better job! lol

Good for you! You have to do what's best for you. It's great that your concentrating on music and college.

Good luck and give it your all.

I'm a ride operator in one the children's area. They gave me wierd hours:

Monday-OFF
Tuesday-OFF
Wednesday-3-8
Thursday-3-8
Friday-12-8
Saturday-10-8
Sunday-2-7

On the weekdays I would have to leave class early and I would get home REAL late and I didn't have any time to study and work on my music assignments. Kids would cut in line and raise all kinds of hell and their parents are NO WHERE IN SIGHT!

I've also noticed something. When parents are lame, the kids are lame lol
These two kids came to my ride looking like mini versions of Ricky Shroeder from Silver Spoons lol

After my 5 year stint at a grocery store, I'm fucking DONE with the public. Never again.

I applaud u! I was thinking of doing that also. The only thing I'm grateful for is I'm not as shy as I use to be

I'm shy too - the job that helped me get less shy while concentrating on school was waiting tables. It's hard work & you're always on your feet BUT people are nice for the most part (with the occassional raging asshole) & the hours are unbeatable for a college schedule. Plus it's like any other job - once you get your groove going it's not so bad, I halfway had fun in the 3 years I did it. Give it a shot! smile

I worked at a restaurant. I will NEVER be a waiter. I just couldn't fucking do it. More power to the people that do, though. You gotta kiss their asse and bust yours for $1.50, 2 buttons and half a peanut in tips disbelief No thanks.

What did you DO @ the restaurant?

It's not the wage waiters look forward to (waiters don't really make a wage), it's the tips. The key is getting into a place w/ a good priced menu & get on the dinner crew (though I always heard lunch crew made good $ but I never wanted to deal w/ people being in such a hurry). I usually didn't go home w/ less than $100 a night which @ the time for me worked fine smile There are off nights that are just BAD but for the most part it's pretty consistent...

I worked at Ruby Tuesday. I was a dishwasher and a host.
