I just wanted to give this a shot over here.

I'm trying to a campaign of sorts for Danny and Anya to make it into the top 10 (or further) on the show So You Think You Can Dance!

Danny is a terrific African-American ballet/contemporary dancer who has received this unfair "arrogant" label from the producers for no reason except being "designated" as the "snob" role for the show--really by virtue of his genre. Danny has done nothing on the show to warrant this type of criticism, but the judges bringing it up so much that even his partner Anya and his roommate Cedric (a contestant voted-off last week) have come to his defense. But Danny unfortunately is just not the type to confront the judges himself, and his family isn't the type to openly campaign for him even though they are very proud of his accomplishments. He just "takes it" because anything he does at this point is only interpreted as further evidence of his arrogance--when in reality he has done absolutely nothing to deserve such a label.

I have never actively campaign for a contestant on this show before, but after having lots of fun voting for Apolo and Laila on DWTS, I've decided to try to campaign for Danny and Anya. I just don't think Danny, in particular, realizes how important it is to ask for the fans' "vote" on a show like this. So a group of us are getting together to ask for him. So if any of you are casual fans of the show or dance and have never voted before--even though Danny and Anya might actually be your favorites, please consider voting for them this week to keep them from being placed in the bottom again. I'm afraid if it happens one more time, BOTH of them might be asked to leave because the judges keep saying Danny, in particular doesn't have enough support. Well, apparently he does, but it's just that HIS fans happen to be a bit older, and never have considered voting before.

He is a terrific dancer and a wonderful person. Is he the best dancer just because he's a ballet dancer? No, he's not. In fact, Danny himself admits he has a lot to learn. Does he feel a sense of entitlement--like this competition is in the bag-- because he happened to be a member of the corps de ballet at ABT and placed second in an international ballet competition? No, he does not because he realizes there is more to SYTYCD than being a ballet dancer. He might be the best ballet dancer on the show, but that doesn't mean he is the best overall. In fact, most all of the other dancers have had just as much success in their genres--even some dancing in movies and on Broadway, but DAnny's success just appears to be more prestigious,but in reality it's not. He's just starting-out, leaving ABT, starting Movement Magazine, trying to open-up some more opportunities for himself just like the rest of the contestants on the show.

If you watch the show and support other couples.. That's great, too, because they ALL deserve to have a fanbase and support. But if you really do like D&A or are interested in getting behind them as a dance couple, then please vote this week in particular, so Danny & Anya can rise about this unfair arrogant label he in particular has been given!!!

Please ya'll! Give this show a shot! I think you'd really love all the dancers. But Danny & Anya are so wonderful!

I'll be voting like crazy for them, they are the cream of this year's crop without doubt!
