Appreciating Photo In an age where citrisy colognes are either unisex or utterly barely distinguishable from each other, I'd like to take a minute to appreciate a fading star amongst cologne--Karl Lagerfeld's PHOTO cologne. This is a shamelessly masculine scent, at once capturing the essence of man, as well his pioneering spirit in both the uncharted waters of the human spirit as well as pursuit of his next lay. This is not your typical wimpy cologne; rather, it's sharp, spicy lavender and amber tones are like a wall of sexy coming up on yo azz. Like Ralph Lauren's Polo, this is distinguishably manly, but unlike Photo, this has been sprinkled on far fewer necks covered in a mangy mess of mullet hair. Lawd, I wish they'd revive this cologne. It's super hot.

that has to be the most God awfully hairiest treasure trail I have EVER seen in my LIFE, especially for someone who's so hairless above the waist. It looks like if you unzip his pants Chewbacca will roll out or something. http://prince.org/msg/100/263154?&pg=2

Okay 5 questions
1) Where would I purchase this cologne? 2) How would you describe the scent 3) WHat is the cost? 4) Why is it so meaningful to you? 5) I'm a cheap bastard can you send me some? lol Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

It's musky cologne but not in the sense of stetson. It's kid of like taking Gucci Rush, and making it smell like a more masculine, stronger Givenchi Blue Label with lavender overtones. It's totally sporty. Something you'd wear to the gym. I remember women just loving this scent. 3) WHat is the cost? Cheap. It's no longer the rage and has been sort of forgotten. But it always elicits positive reactions when I wear it. Mind you it's not a cheap scent. Just that it's star has already shined. It was pretty pricey when it first dropped. 4) Why is it so meaningful to you? All cologne is important to me. I love the smell of cologne. Lagerfeld Photo was the first cologne I picked out (as a youth) that wasn't because all the guys were wearing it. I just smelled it, liked it, and bought it. It helped get me laid in Air Force tech school. 5) I'm a cheap bastard can you send me some? lol I currently am out of it. , [Edited 7/15/07 14:32pm]

Well thanks for introducing me to a new cologne. I have forever used my old stand by Hugo Boss. I think the last new cologne I purchased was Micheal Jordan and it sucked. The last one that was given to me was that P.Diddy cologne which actually smells alright, but its the kinda shit you can only wear to a formal dinner or something.
A couple more questions 1) IF I did by this cologne based on your recommendation would you feel offended? 2) Is this your favorite cologne? Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

It's my favorite day time cologne. My favorite night time cologne is FCUK, or any number of Kenneth Cole colonges (they're all good). I think my favorite cologne of all time ever (though not currently) was probably Dolce & Gabbana
