Anyways, this mate of mine, whom I've known since we were four. We were really tight as kids but we went to different schools and as we got a bit older we started seeing less and less of each other, which is very unfortunate. Well, we do see each other occasionally, like on my bday (a couple of weeks ago or something) and we're always like "Yea, we gotta get together more" etc etc, which never happens but anyway. We always get along superbly, always, so it is kinda sad that we don't see each other that often.
So, we were both really into James Bond and Star Wars when we were kids, and I recently purchased the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD (gotta have it, gotta have it ) and I called my friend up and asked if he wanted to do a Star Wars Marathon with me (i.e. watch all the three original movies back-to-back). He was like "Whoa, that's a great idea. Sure!"
I was like "Come 'round earlier on so we can get some snacks 'n' shit at a nearby supermarket"
He's like "Ok, yea"
He promises to call me.

Now, this dude has always had the habit of being late and possibly not answering his phone, so I've gotten used to this kind of behaviour over the years. But dayum.. it's 7.35 PM, I've called him four (4) times today, no answer. I think the supermarket closes at 6 on saturdays so no snacks, but hell, that doesn't even matter as long as he'd just fucking call me. Sick of waiting around ALL DAY for him to call me or pick up the damn phone when I call him...

He said he had a previous engagement that he didn't want to attend, going to get some beers with a couple of his mates. He told me he wasn't in the mood for that, and he'd call his other mates and call their rendezvous off.
Would be just my luck that he'd suddenly decided to go out with his mates and forget to inform me about the change of plans...
