I need to blow off some steam!!!!!

I want to vent for a minute:

I REALLY, REALLY HATE ORLANDO, FL! mad

I spent the last three years as a teacher and although the kids liked me, I wasn't making a difference teaching them Journalism. As a teacher, advancement is pretty hard. I left the profession seeing storm clouds gathering that would make being a teacher a really bad long term career move.

Finding a new job has been a bitch! I have a degree and they (local companies)are insulting me with jobs with $10/hr!!!! On a whole, the city and state pay slave wages and the people here are so plastic. They are either glorified customer service reps acting like millionaires or highly paid Disney folks who think their shit doesn't stink.

I thought about moving to Atlanta again, but I hated the city because it seems like the people (blacks & whites)were always at each others throats. Living there 15 years was rather interesting, but I am starting to feel that when my lease expires, I will need to find a new state/country to live in. At 30 years old, I feel like my life is in a very sad state.

Anyways, anyone else care to offer feedback or vent?

You could always take some sort of job in the meantime while looking for another teaching position. At least money will still be coming in if you took a temporary job neutral

Good luck.

There's nothing in Orlando except for Disney, I would imagine. But the south as a whole, doesn't pay a lot for jobs unless you are in a major city.

I hate Florida and I cannot wait to move.

I have other things to vent about but not here.
I hope you sort out what you want to do and where you want to do it.

That's not just Florida. That's the world...life...this country. I
am truly convinced that without a masters you can't go anywhere. A BA or BS means High school diploma. Cause trust me...I've been there. Ii couldn't find shit unless it was some stupid start up that sold you the job or a $10/hour job.

That's ANYWHERE...don't be mad at one city...it's all over

It seems like I went to college for nothing. Why I am picking my fight with Orlando is because this city is lacking in every facet imaginable. I moved here thinking it would be much better than South Florida (I used to live in Miami when I was a kid before Atlanta) and it has been terrible. Is it really that bad in other U.S. cities?

That's something I was scared about concerning college. Doing all that work for not a damn thing, and then you can't find a job. Man, I went to school for Graphic Design and out here in LA they want to hire people to do shit that I didn't learn to do.
Straight up Bullshittery.
