In truth, I do blame it on the parents. Shoot, let your kids know they matter. They are someone important in your life and a God given gift. Most kids join gangs just to feel as if they are a part of something. Whether it a good or bad thing, they just want to be accepted.

And girls for the most part go out looking for attention, they obviously aren't getting from a father. They just want to be told they're wonderful. And sometimes, unfortunately, it ends up that just to be taken care of, or told they're loved, wanted, beautiful, etc (even if it's just lies) they end up doing certain things that can end up ruining their precious, young lives.

Daddies, brothers, grandaddies, Listen up. Treat your lil girls, sisters, granddaughters with respect. Mommahs, teach your young girls to respect themselves, and stop living up to societies standards of what's beautiful. Let them know it starts within. Especially upstairs. Give them a sense of positive self esteem. Let them start with loving themselves. The person who God made them. When you love you soo much, (and I don't mean in an ego trippin way) you have no need to be idle minded, seeking others to love you. Shoot, you're filled with too much love, you're the one who has to give it away. =)

Funny thing, we are told to Love others as we love ourselves, yet if we don't love US, the perfection created by our Father above, made up of His DNA, how can we share that love with others? Know who HE made U!
