7-11's anniversary on 7-11

Did anybody take advantage of it and get a free slurpy? Does everybody have a 7-11 in their city/town/country? When one opened in the early 80's in my hood, that was my introduction to high cost for junk food which was slighty traumatizing for a preteen who just wanted a sugar fix.

I didn't know it was a yearly event. I heard about it on the radio during national news of all things, and had to pass the news to a friend who is a slurpee fiend.
