Always been a huge vampire fan. In fact, I'm seeing the "Once More With Feeling" episode of "Buffy" tonight on the big screen.

Me! smile

Bram Stoker's Dracula and Polanski's The Fearless Vampire Hunters are some of my favourite films. smile
Also like Interview With The Vampire but I hate such lamenesses like Van Helsing, Underworld, Buffy, Blade or Queen Of The Damned... smile

moviewise:

the tv miniseries Salem's Lot gave vampires a serious stylistic boost in 1979 that is still copied today (lead vampire being almost demonic, backwards footage, glowing silver eyes, floating around, fast motion, extreme makeup)

I like The Hunger (1982)

Dracula (1979)

I loved hammer films when I was little...

I have yet to see Fearless Vampire killers sad

Yes!! I never missed that show! I watched the credits roll to see "based on the book series...." and then I went to try and purchase it. I found out it was a "kit"- to be played, much like "Dungeons and Dragons". U chose one of the families to associate with and played online...

- I love vampires.... I own both editions of the "Encyclopedia of Vampires" and have read both of them. nod

- One of my favorite episodes of "X-Files" is when Mulder & Scully went to the trailer park and realized that the people there were vampires. cool

It was made in 1998; it was called "Bad Blood". I did a little research- all I found that explains it is this site: http://www.monkeyhouselou...blood.html

Enjoy! wink

I love Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles. biggrin

And, yeah, I remember that trailer park vampire episode of The X-Files as well. The sheriff was a filthy hot stud. biggrin

I have both complete "Buffy" and "Angel" series on DVD... I miss those shows.

I hope that new CBS series "Moonlight" isn't a waste. A crime-fighting vampire with issues? Just bring "Angel" back! wink

I can't get with Anne Rice's writing, tho. I always saw it as "soft porn with vampires". shrug

I love them! lol
But I prefer the novels/films which treat them as charismatic, erotic, intelligent people with objectives or internal conflicts (the Dracula novel, The Hunger, etc.) I just can't stand the films or that awful TV series which thousands of dumb, idiotic vampires jumping around.

nod Even though, my magician's standards, spelling it "magick" means it's cheap tricks. Supposed to be "magic". thumbs up! Even though, personally I'm not convinced most of it's magic (ie. heightened senses, superior strength/speed(agility etc), but just a different level of being.
