Are you more likely to...

air drum or air guitar?

From what I have observed:

Air Guitarists tend to be the life of the party. Hyperactive, funny as hell but they can be unpredictable. This is the guy/girl who your little group gives the pooled beer money to and then never actually shows up to the party because they were to busy getting arrested, watching a Twilight Zone Marathon or banging the nextdoor neighbor.

Air Drummers are quieter but more nerotic, steadily plodding away at life, afraid if they drop the beat everything will turn to shit. These people are good people to have around because they never run out on you with your beer money but these are the people you talk to for 20 min, who at 19:58 they will turn to you and say "Wait! What did you say?"

Which one are you and more importantly, am I right?

I am an admitted Air Drummer, and I blame it all on Sheila E.! Really, sometimes I will take out two teaspoons from the drawer and bang on the counter like I am playing "Glamorous Life." I don't know why I bother. It doesn't sound like what Sheila plays... But I do agree with you about being "afraid to drop the beat" as I am somewhat of a control freak. (But not in a bad way that would leave you screaming or running for cover.) What about you, Sweeny? Which are you? Wait! What did you say again?

I had a feeling there are many more of us then there are of them.

But, still there has to be some air guitarists around here.

Maybe they just don't want to admit it.
