Has anyone ever been to court or have taken someone to court?

I've been taken to court 2 times (one was serious, one was/is minor).

1) Accused of GBH. It wasn't me or my friends who also got charged. I did get a broken bottle stabbed in my arm, which was painful for a bit. (Victim in person was a bouncer, he accused a whole bunch of people. Fucking thing was a joke ). That was quite serious, jury was present and everything

2) Student loans. Only this year this one. A loan company paid me too much money for my loan. They wanted it all back, I refused them. Surprisenly, they actually bothered to take me to court. They never showed up. Now they are gonna take me to court again.

Anyone else? I've been pretty good so far. I have been blacklisted from most major credit cards for the time being, but at least that was not taken to court LOL

Oh yeah, one time, this newsagent owner wanted to take me to court for damages to his shelf and coke dispenser machine.....


...me and my mate were in the newsagent, only about 13/14 at the time, and i could not reach the top shelf for the porn LOL. So I climbed the shelf, then the whole thing collapsed and crashed into the coke machine opposite, damaging both the shelf and machine LOL. Owner got very upset, and threatened me to pay damages. I said no, and he almost (i kid you not) took me to court.

I think i have given people the wrong impression on this thead. I do not think its cool to go to court, or get sued, but just wondering if i was the only one.

I was sued for millions of dollars after a traffic accident. My insurance company assigned me a lawyer and we all had to go before a judge and present our sides of the case. (The passenger in the other car sued both me and the other driver.) The plaintiff's story had lots of holes and it was eventually settled although now that I think about it, Geico never told me exactly how.

Being sued isn't fun.
