I can't remember the name of the company, but they make the Kirkland water that they sell at Costco and the like. SO, the factory manager tells her that they are the only watter bottling company in the US that also makes their own caps. As a result, they are the only water bottling company that can make caps that thread so perfectly that they do not need to use a sealant to ensure air tight closure. All of the other water bottling companies (Dasani, Aquafina, Arrowhead, etc.) all buy their caps from a different source and, therefore, have to apply a sealant to make the bottles air tight. Guess what the sealant is? A film of animal fat!!! So, my friend asks if they market their water as a vegan alternative. The factory manager told her that it never occurred to him and that he was going to bring it up with his marketing team. Anyway, ANIMAL FAT!! I can't believe more people don't know about this. *Spit!*Spit* Tap water in London is the worst!! I remember clearly, and it's been a few years since I've traveled there. San Francisco/California water is great. It actually beat out a taste test over bottled water. Christian Zombie Vampires

I just bought a PUR for my sink, but I still buy sparkling water. I'm addicted to that, and I haven't seen a way to make my own seltzer. If I do I'll try it.
The PUR is okay, but I don't like the taste as much as bottled water, particularly the Smart Water I was drinking. I do like it better than Evian, which tastes like the dirty waterfountain at a BART station. The filtered stuff tastes best cold, I think. I don't think it filters out the chemicals, though. I know it doesn't filter out the Flouride. Why do we need to drink flouride? I have flouride in my toothpaste! I do enjoy not lugging all those bottles of water upstairs, I must say. All you need is a seltzer siphon and a box of chargers... http://www.amazon.com/Sod...B0009SV27S We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I always drink tap water in the UK, but here that's not wise. We recycle all our bottles though.
