I don't know if you should feel guilty about it but the Harry Potter series is a lot of fun.

Moderator | I usually go for things not so light hearted.
But.... If you like romance, anything by Nicolas Sparks or Nora Roberts is usually good fun. If you want somthing a bit more manly, there is always the wonderful Nick Horby, if you want extra testosterone Robert B. Parker is your man. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

My next fun book:"Uncommon Arrangements" by Katie Roiphe, about seven post-Victorian power couples (mostly writers) who modernized marriage. Equal opportunity philandering. These are guilty pleasures? OMG. In my sick mind. I don't read fiction, although "Alexandrian Quartet" by Lawrence Durrell, was excellant, particularily if you've ever traveled in the middle east. "Uncommon Arrangements" chronicles romances of H.G. Wells, Elizabeth von Armin, Bertrand Russell etc. There's hetero and gay hook-ups, so it should be entertaining!

I wouldn't exactly call them light-hearted reading, but I think she's drunk again.

Irreverent and fantastically funny. It's about the early years of Christ, written by his long time friend Biff. Sure to offend many.
