First, thanks for sharing your trip with us here. It was really cool and so are you for your obvious insight from this experience.
I just have some questions and if the first is too personal, I'll understand. How did you pay for all of this and how long did you plan it? Why did you do it? Was it just to see if you could? What would you have done differently if you were going to do the exact trip again? (aside from planning your Peruvian trip well in advance) What would you say to someone who never leaves the comforts of their limited area's perspective and has no idea what people think anywhere else? You mention materialism and now you don't need a cell phone. Other than the digital camera you've taken all of these amazing pictures with, what other "materialistic" things did you have for this adventure? I could not live without music but that's just me How did you get online and post here in all of those countries? WI FI? What do you do for a living where you could just travel the earth without damage to your career? Finally, are the "freedoms" that people talk about within western society actually something that people truly take for granted or do most people live the same everywhere only in poverty?
