I question whether you are truly living. hmph!

I don't have a cell phone and I feel truly free. It's sad when people have a break and what is the first thing they do, go on a cell phone. When they get out of a movie theater...go on a cell phone. I've seen four people at a restruant sitting at a table, all of them on a cell phones. Dam you guys look like Zombies.

Different times brotha...when we grew up, you could play outside and not worry about safety (that much). I remember being gone from morning til sundown...nowadays, kids can't even play in their front yards without someone watching them.

Also, back then, two parents usually didn't work...it's almost a must for both parents to work in todays world.

Ah, the good ole days...lol

To some extent yes, depends on where you live. But trouble has been always there. As a parent you could of say that when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, or during the Cuban missle crisis, or during the Atlanta child murders.

the world isn't that much differnt, it's just things are more sensationalized.

Huh. Well, I don't feel any less free for having a cell phone (partly because I only answer it when I feel like it; I have it for MY convenience, not the convenience of everybody who knows me). In fact, I think I feel more free, because I don't have to plan outings as carefully, due to always having a map and telephone directory with me.

To each their own.
oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I don't have a cell phone and I've never felt the need for one either. I think having one would stress me out.

sorta. i generally only use mine while i'm working. to communicate wirh my assistant, deal with agents, handle courier stuff, etc. when my work da is done, so is my cell phone. even my old dude leaves messages on my home phone rather than calling or texting me on my cell, unless it's something really important cool. oddly, before i moved to europe, with my work and social lifestyle in the u.s., i was using TWO phones about to bump up to three. i had my cell phone life divided between work calls only, social calls only, then the secret number that only my family and selected loved ones could reach me at. it was ridiculous, but that's what life warranted at that time for me. now i live completely differently, with different values, different priorities, at a different pace: these days outside of work or confirming appointments, you almost can't PAY me to keep track of my phone. half the time i don't even know where the darned thing is, nor is it charged lol

That is something most people tend to forget.

When I first got mine, made it very well known that just cuz I have a cell phone, it does NOT give people license to just call whenever the hell they feel like it. I don't care who you are, unless you're either my mom, my sister, or my girlfriend...if I don't wanna answer...I am not going to.

When you are holiday/vacation, don't you feel like flinging it in the sea?
