Elizabeth Edwards asked her to stop attacking her husband. That's kinda foul...she's attacking this guy while this guy's wife is fighting cancer for the second time. Coulter is pretty low for attacking a guy who's got a lot of personal stuff to deal with

Her strength is that she rallies your middle class conservative--your bread and butter conservative to her cause (whatever that may be ).
I doubt true intellectual conservatives find her points very interesting. She's more an entertainer or coffee table conservative figure than anyone with anything interesting to say. Books like Slander have been so heavily refuted and errors and misrepresentations so heavily documented she makes Michael Moore look like a historian. But they're gutsy, they're fiesty, and they're entertaining to middle class conservatives tired of feeling like their America is being taken from them. This of course, doesn't make her a great intellectual mind on any matters of politics (though I presume here as I don't much like politics).

I mean, if you want to debate Nome Chompski you ain't gonna send Ann Coulter with high hopes of winning. That's why they pair her against the likes of Al Frankin now.


But I agree with INSATIABLE that the tone of her rhetoric is so hateful that it really can't be considered true political discourse. It's conservative coffe table entertainment. Unfortunately, your "coffee table" liberal gets all riled over it cause they find her to be a threat, though I can't imagine why cause her ideas are just a dog and pony show of the issues at hand and only kind of skim the surface of the liberal-vs-conservative "battle".


The tone of this I found absolutely tacky and counter productive to the "conservative agenda ". And Edwards is correct in saying that it draws people away from the process.
