On a serious note....burning out on the job. I’ve been at my present job now for three years and although I have learned a lot considering I only had a very basic understanding of the business when I went into it I’m kinda feeling a bit of the old burn out with it all.
I know I want to stay with the line of work but to be honest I’m beginning to think that three years is my limit with a job. Anyone feel the same or has felt the same in the past? What is your burn out limit or are you a work horse? [Edited 7/2/07 9:18am]

Ex-Moderator | I'm usually bored after one year, but I've been almost a year and a half at my current, and I'm doing quite well. |

It always amazes me when people have been at the same job for 10, 20. . . 40! . . . years. The longest I've been in one place is about 3 years, and that was plenty long.
I expect that I'll stay in the same line of work for many years, but. . .it's hard to imagine staying in the exact same job for decades. I think some of us aren't cut out for it. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

You should LEAVE. Hehehe Trust me- knowing I am leaving in a matter of months is the only thing getting me through days like today.

the former. my job feels like a job. it's starting to bore me with the typical office politics. i wish i could be in an environemnt that breeds creativity rather than the bottom line.

Perhaps you should make your move into directing & let someone else worry about the bottom line Follow your heart, but save up some $ first I wish you all the best . [Edited 7/3/07 21:36pm]
