COME GET YER HOBO NAME! (formerly "Rat Tangles and Hobo Jungles", but I got desperate)

Rat tangles are when so many rats bunch up in a rat colony that their tails knot up together and they become one big knotted-together mass of rats. A rat tangle.

A hobo jungle is exactly what it sounds like. It's a community of hoboes, complete with shanties, communal eating areas and self-appointed leadership entities.

These are two things I find fascinating, just for completely random, inexplicable reasons. Are there things that just came out of nowhere and suddenly fascinated YOU? biggrin

God thank you.

As much as your thread is pointless and embarassing, I'm getting tired of seeing all of those "let's compare who looks better than who and reward those genetically more gifted folks" threads. lol

The random bunch of freaks cobbled together to form Prince.org.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

There are plenty of "random" things that fascinate me, pretty much on a daily basis, and I wish they fascinated other people just as much, lol. For example I found an issue of Time magazine from 1969 at a friend's country place a week ago and it had a 12 page feature about the recent moon landing. Although I'm not necessarily an astronomy buff, it was awesome to read about all the techincal and human details and politics of it and I couldn't stop myself from talking about it with every person I met the coming days.

I've also recently been fascinated with different types of rain and how they're created, how much happiness can affect old people's physical condition, how China is approaching capitalism, how the Stockholm club life has stopped reinventing itself etc etc. Every time someone talks about something with knowledge and/or passion I almost always get interested, even if it's not part of my own "realm". There's something interesting in pretty much everything.

As long as it doesn't go against your own personal opinions on the matter of course.

Wow. I'm starting to become grateful for all the gnarley JustErin threads in here. confused
I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

Saigon, it was all gone
The same Coke machines
As the streets I grew on
Down in a mesquite canyon
We come walking along the ridge
Me and the brothers under the bridge

Campsite's an hour's walk from the nearest road to town
Up here there's too much brush and canyon
For the CHP choppers to touch down
Ain't lookin' for nothin', just wanna live
Me and the brothers under the bridge
Come the Santa Ana's, man, that dry brush'll light
Billy Devon got burned up in his own campfire one winter night
We buried his body in the white stone high up along the ridge
Me and the brothers under the bridge

Had enough of town and the street life
Over nothing you end up on the wrong end of someone's knife
Now I don't want no trouble
And I ain't got none to give
Me and the brothers under the bridge

I come home in '72
You were just a beautiul light
In your mama's dark eyes of blue
I stood down on the tarmac, I was just a kid
Me and the brothers under the bridge

Come Veterans' Day I sat in the stands in my dress blues
I held your mother's hand
When they passed with the red, white and blue

One minute you're right there ... then something slips...
