The whole thing was not a curse but a series of horrible coincidences. Julian Beck as the wikipedia article said had stomach cancer and courageously finished his last role in an immense amount of pain. Will Sampson underwent a very risky surgery with a fairly high mortality rate. Dominique Dunne had the misfortune of dating a nut job who beat her up frequently. I read in a book that she did a guest appearance on "Hill Street Blues" and the scars on her face were not makeup but scars given to her by her boyfriend. He only did a few years time and became a chef at a restaurant and then people found out about it and ran him out of town. And poor Heather, she had some stomach issues but many think she would have lived with proper care/diagnosis.

the young child actress's death is so sad and random, because the disease is so mysterious and can act quite suddenly and randomly. she died specifically from a blockage in her system that led to septic poisoning, on the way to the hospital in a car, if I remember correctly from the day it happened and was reported.

A lot of people suffer from immune system diseases like this and hide it away without treatment.
