I know I am tempting fate by placing this in the GD forum, but I figure the posters in here have a higher per capita thread locking experience than any other forum.

I had one locked some time ago. I admit it was silly, but artistic. My threads are like my children. It was locked and called nonsense, adding insult to injury. I was thrown into a shame spiral and almost did not recover to post again.

What are your experiences with thread locking? Do you dare admit your shame?

Do some posters get by with more than others?

Sometimes it is funny. Other times it is frustrating.

Considering that, for the most part, my threads are largely dismissed, I'd take a perverse pleasure from one of them being locked as it would at least indicate the thread had been noticed.

Feel free to re-post this in Site Discussion, that's where it shoud go. I'm not moving the thread as the org's been acting up more than usual lately and I don't want to kill it for another 10 minutes just to move this thread.
