If You Were Granted The Power To Cure JUST 3 Diseases Which Would They Be?

You were given the power to cure ONLY 3 diseases/conditions, which would they be? This was hard.

- Cancer
- Mentally Challenged
- Blindness

I left off diseases that were preventable but it was really hard to leave off HIV/AIDS. Paralysis was another toughy to leave off as was Hypertension and Diabetes.

retardation is not disease it is 99.9% due to malpractice of doctors and can we use words like "physically challenged of handicapped" please because i do find that word Offensive due to the fact i had a handicapped sister who was mywhole universe and left me at age 12 due to her Cerebral palsy. now the ones i would cure

Hiv/Aids ( it took my uncle)
Diabetes ( took my father away)
Cancer

But "Physically Challenged" could mean a lot of different conditions and diseases, I wanted to focus on retardation, so what's the correct word for solely that?

Handicapped would be the correct term and even more so that R word is never used that is a label placed on those who are considered "abnormal" by the masses of those who claim they are "normal"

Ok, so how about "Mentally Challenged"? That sounds about right.

Paralysis and blindness aren't diseases either, they're effects of other diseases/injuries. disbelief And a HUGE co-sign to what Finess said. rose I often think of your sister. hug

Mine: HIV/AIDS
Cancer
Chronic Obstructive Lund Disease (not actually sure what it's called in English, nicknamed "smoker's disease" here... my mom has it.

I think the term most health providers use for "mentally challenged" now is developmentally delayed or developmentally disabled but alot of Dr.s stil use the diagnosis of mild MR, moderate MR and severe MR at this hospital I work at.

No, I didn't. The edit I did was already there before you even posted. Go check. My edit was at 9:00am - your post was at 9:20am. Now unless I have the codes to the Org that would make it pretty impossible for me to be able to change the time stamp eh? eek lol

Anyway, FYI, the edit was changing "retardation" to "mentally challenged".
