in my family not only do the men stress and teach (guide) the females how to be self sufficient but the women in my family teach and make (made) all the males learn how to cook clean, do laundry and basically take care of themselves (I love that about us). the driving principle that all of us were taught was yes it IS about companionship, partnership or whatever you want to call it BUT we had to be able to do for ourselves . in case the other didn’t work out and you're on your own. The men and my family can cook and clean equally if not better than the women. my families big on you not being at the mercy of anybody male or female and driving home that however you end up with already has a mother and father as already mentioned and somebody has already rasied them. | |
