I have always thought very slightly behind and to the right, only because it is my job as the man to protect. However i have learned that the best and only way is beside. As far as decision making goes well i have a simple idea that the way it works is like this.

In a relationship my focus is her and hers is me.

That way i get my desires fulfilled because she thinks of me and i get my need to give fulfilled because she allows me to give. If we put that in to practise we remove selfishness. Hopefully anyway. That way i truly think any choice can be talked through and a choice made that keeps both happy and secure.

The 50-50 aspect means that long term that is how it works out. I had this exact conversation with Valory last night...how its not 50-50 hour by hour or day by day or even year by year....but in the end..when we are old and grey, we will look back and know we gave as much as we got.

At least that is what i hope and

Alex happens to be the one who's good at home things, whilst I happen to be the one who takes care of the finances. Neither of us is ahead of the other, and neither of us would do so well without the other one.
