I was having this discussion with a friend recently and it made me wonder what the general feelings are about this?

I was raised to believe that a woman should be BEHIND her man kinda watching his back ...as more of a support but not a complete equal to walk onside of the man? Now I am not talk about a lesser person but not as dominant role in every day decisions.....The man is the head and makes all Final decisions is what I was taught in Bible study as a baptist kid.

it seems because women have jobs and are allowed to think openly in public in the last 30 years or so that many women feel an equal or MORE than man?

I believe this is a major reason for the detioration of the family structure and high divorce race because you have man and woman thinkin they both are the lead..... wherever there are 2 chiefs and not enough Indians you have problems.....

What do you think about this?

In a relationship both man and woman are equal. It's a partnership.

A man and a woman stand side by side with each other. Any decisions to be made are discussed and an agreement is reached.

Ugh a man making all final decisions? That's controlling behaviour. Equality not subserviance.

51% of the worlds population is female.
Yet only a small percentage of that actually protects women's rights.
So if I believe in reicarnation, and I do, there's a high likelyhood I will be born into a country that represses women. Whether I be a male or female in the next life, that environment is something I want no part of.
