Mr. Do poops all over Dig Dug, which is not to say that Dig Dug is a bad game, it isn't. It just wasn't in the same class as Mr. Do.

All this talk of old games got me thinking. Back in the day, what scores on what games were considered to be ones worthy of respect round your arcades?

For example, when I were a lad:

Mr. Do! 250,000+
Defender 2,000,000+
Galaga 2,000,000+
Bombjack 5,000,000+

I could reach all of these, except the bombjack one. I always struggled around the 2,500,000 mark on that one. Today on MAME, I don't seem to be able to get close to any of them, guess I am getting old!

Well I turned the clock back several times over on Centipede... I suppose it would equate to over 5,000,000. Once you learn the tricks of the game you can pretty much just keep going as long as you want. Same goes for Pacman, Tempest etc.
