Radical views

Do you have any really radical views and opinions that are so left-of-field and outside the "norm" that if uttered it would be considered peverse and sick by the majority of society. Are you afraid to speak your mind for fear of what people might think?

If so, what might those views be?

Not "sick"; maybe "perverse", by some. I tend to question a lot of conventional thinking and this can rattle people who cling to those sorts of notions for comfort (i.e. 95% of the world's population lol).

Are you afraid to speak your mind for fear of what people might think?

Fuck, no! lol

Shit, where do I begin? lol How about a pink tasting-spoon of this?: I believe that even the worst reality TV show is more educational than any piece of fiction. Like, ever. neutral

Would you like a sugar cone of that? lol

I am also the only Bruce Springsteen fan extant who believes that Human Touch and Lucky Town are his best albums. smile

BTR's the writing of a 25-year-old; I can't relate. Nebraska's more my thing, but I'll still take the post-therapy, forty-three-year-old HT/LT Bruce to the thirty-three-year-old, depressed Bruce.

lol, iam 21, so maybe one day i'll get into the more adult contemporary Bruce. I mean, in theory i should love it, because I love some AOR in general, but not those 2 albums as much. Still, I actually enjoy "born in the USA" most, which of course, is basically a great pop record and nothing more, and I love that.

Some people dont like my views on patriotism. Either the USA's rather arrogent flag waving or me telling british people "trooping the colour" is aload of boring bollocks.

My sense of humor is reeeaaaally dark.

My relationships (kinky, queer, and/or polyamorous at various times) have been called perverse ("depravity" giggle) by plenty of people.

My views on animal rights are pretty far outside of the norm, though less radical than they once were.

I think those are the biggies. And I'm pretty outspoken; none of that stuff has been hidden from the world, really, though I do have to monitor the humor in certain situations.

Actually, the lyrical content of USA is very dark; Nebraska was just a chunk of USA's demos that they felt worked better in 4-track form than with the band.

USA is Nebraska dressed up in pop production.

Yes I do.
And they are all in complete alignment with Supa's.

Really? I love "nebraska", its very atmospheric to me. Yeah, the title track and "iam on fire" are dark thats for sure. "Iam on fire" inparticular. I love that song, even if it about a pedo or whatever. "Iam going down" is my song off that album.

They're all lyrically dark. And "I'm on Fire" is not about "a pedo". lol

But, we digress. Feel free to orgNote me to discuss The Boss. Or - better yet - start a thread in "M: N-P" and alert me! smile

On the "Iam on fire" thing, its true, i do often get things wrong, but i assumed by the opening line(s) it was about a pedo. Of course, i never looked too deep into the song mind you.

I did start a thread ages ago about "tunnel of love". I think it got a few replys. Not many people on this board care for Bruce.
