We all know these media stories of teachers without boundaries and students thinking they're 'in love' with their predators. But honestly folks, is it difficult for you to emphathize with a set of parents who would sign marriage consent forms simply because their 16 year daughter stopped talking to them as they disapproved of the relationship? It doesn't sound like very responsible parenting to me, but then, in some ways I'm an old fashioned woman who believes the adult/parent/guardian responsible for rearing you is not responsible for being your buddy. Whats say, folks? Is this an example of lazy parenting in a society of decaying family bonds, or is this just a sign of everchanging, more freewheeling times? I'm just asking because frankly, I did not get the memo

I said....good girl...and we both just giggled. The more important thing is that we are parents FIRST. I could careless if my daughter stopped talking to me because she wanted to do something. My daughter HATES for me to not talk with her because we dont' have that type of relationship. We communicate about everything but she is clear about the wrath that would take place.

I wonder if this Windy person might change her mind when she gets older. However there are other factors that might change her mind or anyone else's mind:
1. No more of the usual single life.
2. Might meet other guys her own age and change her own views and opinions.
3. Marriage is a new change to a person's life and the husband might not treat a wife like momy and daddy did.


Now I have never been married, but from what I have heard from other people's experiences.

I was just saying to my sisters yesterday that some parents have forgotten how to say no to their children, forgetting that their responsibility as parents is to bring a decent human being into the world & not just give in to their every whim. & the thing that started that rant was that I was in Starfucks the other day & there was a man w/ his daughter, she couldn't have been any more than 4. Do you know this fool ordered an espresso for himself & a 1/2 shot w/ milk for her??? What in the world does a child that young need to drink coffee for?? She kept saying, "I want coffee like you daddy!" I mean, had it ever entered his mind (before this all started, b/c this seemed like a routine) to simply explain that it's not a beverage for kids? And she had all these gold bracelets on, just a highly adorned child. He must spoil her rotten & give her whatever she demands (& believe me, she wanted 2 sugars & 4 stirrers & wanted & wanted & WANTED). It's not her fault, kids NEED discipline & to be steered in the right direction. But she's gonna be a mess when she gets older, & he's gotta be a mess to be creating the situation.

Anyway, rant over. This story is sick shit, the coach should be in fucking jail & the girl needs to... get older

And good gawd almighty if I didn't just watch the accompanying video that they have on the page and it really hit home! Apparently this jackass met her at school when she was FOURTEEN and was actively involved in her life! That is so jacked up!
