Good question... It's my understanding that other revisions are already in development, including a cheaper slightly stripped down model. I think how quick 3G arrives will entirely depend on how well the current model sells (meaning, they may save it for a bit until there's a slump or need to boost figures).

I just can't tie up $600 into my phone right now, no matter how completely awesome it is. I do covet them, but I got a 60 gig video ipod already, so it may sound like an upgrade, but it's a downgrade for me. Like curly fries at Jack in the Box. Socal people have to get that one.
