bicyclists and traffic

why do people HAVE to ride their bikes down the middle of the road during rush hour? this is especially dangerous on two-way streets, because the 40 cars behind the cyclist can't pass on the right or left, usually. I'm all for personal freedoms, but if i can't ride my damn minivan on the bike path in the park, then you can't ride your bike at 4 mph when everybody is trying get home. take it to the sidewalk!

hmph!
you look better on your facebook page than you do in person hmph!

I don't know what the laws are where you live, but here it's illegal to bike on the sidewalk. Luckily, my city has lots and lots of bike paths and also bike lanes on many streets.
As long as bikers are riding responsibly, I don't care. It's when they ride like jackasses I get pissed off. lol

I hate when people ride bikes in the sidewalk too, and expect you to move over when they come right up behind you, nearly knocking you over.

I hate the fact that kids have no respect for the bicycling rules. They never make stops, they just bicycle without proper respect of the road or the people trying to share the road with them. Last year a young boy here, was killed on his way to school. He was hit by a driver in a SUV, he had just crossed into the intersection without looking..just assumed it was clear. He was only 13, and it was the first week of school. Parents need to teach their kids to not be so careless about respecting the road.

I say get rid of the cars, let the bicycles rule the road.
Less pollution, healthier people, and no traffic jams woot!

But I agree, I hate it when they don't follow the rules.
