What?! 12 years? Did you get married when you were 14? I'm going to take that as a compliment that you think I'm so young. I'm about to turn 34. The place the second photo was taken in is an home decorating store with a lot of asian inspired accents. Thanks for all the compliments guys. [Edited 6/26/07 14:58pm]

I'm a bit paranoid about people getting merried young, cuz I have recently learned that a friend of mine, who's only about a year older then me (I'm 23) has been merried to her first boyfriend for almost 8 years now. Geez!!! Alright...since you guys forced me....
Like I already said, we dated in highschool and then went to separate colleges. He in Colorado and me in Virginia. For the first three years of school we dated other people, but still saw each other over holidays (we lived in the same hometown). The summer before our senior year of college we got back together and started dating again. It was strange at first b/c neither one of us was sure if our feelings were nostalgic or true, so...We continued to date and when we went back to college he wrote me immediately and said he wanted to date exclusively. So, I felt the same way and agreed. This is September time frame. We saw each other once or twice before Christmas break. On the phone he would tell me that he just didn't know about marriage and that he didn't have money for a ring. I did not bring up the marriage subject. He brought it up like that!! I was devastated on the inside b/c I was really in love with him and thought that it wouldn't last b/c he was going into the Air Force and would be stationed who knows where. Well, cut to Christmas break and he was flying into Washington DC and asked if I'd pick him up. I got to the airport a little early and was sitting at the gate waiting for his flight. His flight arrived and the gate attendant opened the door to the jet way. People started getting off and I noticed a woman holding up a sign with my name on it! I was like do I know here from somewhere?? I totally didn't recognize her. She was looking around like she was looking for me. So, I thought that David had missed his flight and she was going to give me a message or something. So, I walk over to her and she said, "Oh! You're Jill!" and she handed me a vase with one long stem red rose. I was like WTH??? I was confused and when I turned to ask her what was going on she was gone. I turned back around and every person that came off that plane had a long stem red rose and when they walked by they put it in the vase I was holding. Believe it or not I still had no clue what was happening. David was still nowhere in sight. Finally the flight attendants came off and then the pilot and still no Dave. OK, by now there was a huge crowd that had formed around me waiting to see what was going on. Finally he came off and he was dressed in a shirt and tie and carrying a bottle of good champagne. He got down on one knee and said, "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." Then he pulled out the rock. I was stunned! I was in shock because he had been making me think that he didn't want to get married. He had secretly called my dad a few days prior to ask his permission to marry me. The crowd erupted in cheers! The ladies were crying and men were yelling and hollering. It was definitely a moment I'll never forget! Isn't he just awesome??
