What is with these parents? Saying they had no choice but to sign those consent forms! They had a choice as her parents and her being only 16 yrs old! A parent should NEVER let the child control the situation! It sounds like to me that those parents were push overs, and that girl was a spoiled brat! She can have a hissy fit until pigs fly. I tell you what, she would NOT be marrying her teacher. The only thing she'd get was a tanned behind, serious punishment and a broken eardrum from me yelling. There IS a choice. These parents are just pushovers. | |

My daughters friend ran away from home to be with a 20 year old. Syd said, "I would be dead." I said....good girl...and we both just giggled. The more important thing is that we are parents FIRST. I could careless if my daughter stopped talking to me because she wanted to do something. My daughter HATES for me to not talk with her because we dont' have that type of relationship. We communicate about everything but she is clear about the wrath that would take place.
My daughters and I are the same way. I love them to death, but they know who the parent is. I'm firmly planted in denial | |
