Personally i would like to see this fail and Apple just realise they shoulda stuck with just making awesome computers! I forsee them turning into Sony...that being they have made their name and now couldnt give a flyin f*ck about anybody that doesnt give them shitloads of $$ and bring out half baked products that stupid people go out and buy without thinking! Which is exactly what they are doing here! I mean how many people REALLY NEED a phone? big deal it does all these other things, but i bet all those other "features" eat the battery power like crazy and you end out not having enough time to make a 10 second phone call cause u wasted all ur battery power on listening to music!

these two guys got in line at 5 AM on monday.

i dunno depends on how much music and phone calls u make..i know lots of people who are always listening to crap on their i pods and also spend way too much time on the phone.....i spose now they will have to get choose which is more important hehe

That sure seems a lot more convenient than flipping buttons to stop your music, taking earphones out, grabbing the phone out of your pocket, etc., then undoing it all to get back to your music.

Just like the iPod before it, once people start using the iPhone, they will wonder how they ever managed without it.

I wonder how long it'll be until the in car systems for iPods are updated to allow support making and answering calls with the iPhone.

lol i never fell for the I pod in the 1st place thus y i am sceptical about this
personally i buy lots of CDs and i dont buy them only to look pretty and never to b used again, which basically what the ipod promotes, i dont have any problems with my Discman so y bother replacing it for something im not even gonna use my CDs on? which i use my hard earned money on in the 1st place! and hey if someone calls me and i dont hear it cause of my headphones so be it, they will call again if they really need me that bad hehe

I don't know if I would "buy" but if it fell off a truck.....

You're in the car and see something that makes you think of a specific song you haven't listened to in 5 years. With CDs, you aren't going to have that song with you. With iPod, a couple of clicks and you can listen to not just it, but the whole album it's on.

I have all of my CDs stored away - 30 years worth of music. All of the music is on itunes/ipod. Whenever I want to, I can listen to any album I want to without looking for the CD. Tonight I decided to listen to Come, which I haven't listened to for a while. It took less than 10 seconds and the music was playing.
