I was once told by an ex that she ONLY dated me to make her friends and family envious and jealous because I looked so good.

I was shocked by this because I thought women were into the personality and funny thing they always say they want and looks are secondary?

So is it fair to say women are just as shallow as men?

I think it's fair to say some women and some men are shallow.

There are shallow people of all races and sexes. And that are non-shallow people of all races and sex.

Um. Yes and No.


They certainly are, when it comes to who they trust and associate with. I don't care what girls say--they give guys who are good looking more of a chance when it comes to trust, friendship, etc. I'm not talking about model looking dudes, but just guys that are pleasant to them.

Where they differ from men is that they are for the most part, still nice to the ugly guys.
Men tend to just ignore ugly girls altogether.

I know that I need a certain type of personality. I really like assertive men. I have to have a man with his own point of view and can express it well. If you don't have that, you can be the most beautiful man.....and I'll go...ugh.
