but this is even worse. that poor girl A shared phobia...I haven't been on an amusement park ride in eons...and it because of incidents like this that I don't get on the rides....I had a near fatal experience on a rollercoaster that was due to halfassed maintenance procedures...I vowed never again..... I truly hope that young lady recovers as well as can be expected under the circumstances.....and that she sues the shit out of Six Flags.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Over the years there have been reports of people falling off rides to their deaths and folks having heart attacks. But this is just the most disturbing this I have heard.
. I love roller coasters and thrill rides but I don't know if I can ride them ever again after this one. The girl has no feet. She went to Six Flags and now she has no feet. I mean damn.

I've heard of people getting a cut-off finger sewed on, I'm hoping they can do the same for this poor girl. How awful! Can you imagine going on a ride, thinking it's going to be fun. The ride ends, and you come to realize that your feet are cut off? It would be terrible!
A school mate of mine had his foot cut off by a thresher but successfully reattached it since his mum found it and put it on ice. I heard on the news today in Stockholm that they closed down the free fall ride at Gröna Lund because of this.

I love the thrill of amusement park rides, but I always wonder when I am on one, whether it will be the last ride of my life. Stretching his hand out to catch the stars, he forgets the flowers at his feet.

I knew there was a Marine World out there, I never venture out that way so I didn't know they changed it to Six Flags... probably years ago, huh

yeah! Me too. Especially now that it seems like freak accidents have increased over the last few years. Makes me really worried now that I have a kid who is kind of a thrill seeker too.

My sister-in-law and I were talking today about the girl whose feet got cut off. We were wondering, if she were to have them sewn back on, would they be normal again? Would she have any feeling in her feet or toes, or would she experience numbness? RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

So, so sad....and gross. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Oh, that poor girl. I hope she'll be able to recover from this...even the horror of it is terrible enough.
Does anyone know how old she is? One article says she's 16 and one says she 13.

Even then, if she got text book perfect treatment, a reattachment surgery may not work, or work on one but not the other etc. The level of success is very individualized, so only time would tell, but they would not be "normal" again. She would just have a new "normal." This little girl is still so much in my thoughts and prayers. I'm firmly planted in denial
