should people with bad feet be allowed to wear open sandals?

i ask only because I myself have BRF (Barney Rubble Feet), and I'm going to see Frankie Beverly and Maze with Ashford and Simpson tomorrow night. I know I'm gonna wear a linen outfit, so I really want to wear these great looking sandals, but my big toe nail looks like a piece of slate! soooo...being that i'm a blue-collar kinda fella, should i cover this bad boy up, or let it be seen with the dozens of other men (and some women) who have jacked up feet?

Nope.

And even men with beautiful feet (if there was ever such a thing barf ) should never wear sandals, ever!

Girl, have you ever been to Italy? The sandals there are exquitely crafted, and the men look FAB in them eek .

I do take issue with the overwearing of flip flops everywhere, though. But in Italy (and most of the Mediterranean), men of great style have at least ONE good pair of sleek, stylish designer sandals, whether for wearing in the city or dining on the seaside. They don't do flip flops though shake. Flip flops are ONLY for the beach and its considered both fashion faux pas and social taboo to wear them anywhere BUT.... cool

Well depends how bad they are.
I worked with a guy who always wore sandals to work and he had some pretty bad feet and to top it all off he would take the sandals off too and show me how he needed a pedicure, gross!!! ill

I love rockin the flops whenever possible! My feet aren't perfect but they are far from fucked up. I hate when I see a woman at the club or a bar who is wearing open toed sandals and has dry, ashy feet. Its just so damn jankity. Look if you are a woman who looks like you kick flour for a living put on sneakers.

I agree! I've seen plenty of classy, nice sandals on men. Now, not every man can rock a pair of sandals. And I am of the opinion flip flops are ONLY for the beach as well.

I've kind of been freaking out about this as well. I have had, if not beautiful, then at least passable feet my whole life. Kinda cute, even. But I'm starting to get my mother's feet. And my whole life I thought they were yucky. Love my mom, just not her feet. (I totally have her hands too, and while my mom has nice hands, I hate looking at mine cause they make me feel old. redface ) My little toes are starting to curl just a bit too much and I'm starting to get callouses on the outside of them. I wish I could get plstic surgery on my little toes. I really do. I've been giving myself extra pedicures and I don't think anyone can really notice, but I know it's there and I really miss my pretty feet.
It sucks to get old. hrmph

i'm joining this club. personally, i think feet are ugly and should be concealed at all times unless showering, sleeping, or (perhaps) engaging in sexual relations (doing it porn star style with socks is perfectly acceptable in this day and age, FYI).

if someone got monster feet, they need to cover that up with some lead moon boots or something.

I have VERY cute feet. There one of the first things I look at on a guy or girl. If they're out. First I look in their mouth to see what kind of party their teeth are throwing, then I direct my attention to the toe nails...Sometimes, I wish I hadn't lookded at either disbelief But you know what? Clean feet can be so sexy to me...I can't believe I just admitted that on here...

See, this is the problem. Flipflops are just too casual and...bare...for most situations. (There are men here who wear flipflops to the office. They should be summarily fired, IMO.)

I don't have a problem with a man wearing a pair of well-crafted dress sandals in casual social situations. But his feet had better be in good shape.

Of course, I see a lot of women with jacked-up feet, too. There is just no excuse for that.
