I'd say it goes both ways, but there seems to be a trend, and that trend is that women seem to be less shallow in the looks dep't, or that they value beauty less than men do. Maybe some women even see beauty as a detractor, thinking that that a beautiful man may be vain, shallow, or not trustworthy.
Women respond to looks, just like men do, but some women will look past a guy's hideous gut if he's funny, where a guy's more likely to overlook a bad sense of humor if she's beautiful. My Legacy
