The Meditation Podcast

It's a little hippy-dippy but extremely relaxing.

I've listened to a few episodes when going to bed. It's incredibly good at inducing sleep. It's not so good when you wake up with your earphones wire wrapped around your neck - but the benefits outweigh the possibility of strangulation.

Enjoy!

Meditation makes me want to scratch.

Your mind simply does not want to slow down. It will resist any way it can. It latches on to things when you try to focus it. And often time when you try to meditate on an object or concept, it will revert to a bodily sensation like itches, or farting/peeing sensations lol.

One trick is to meditate on your breath or some bodily function and concentrate on that to develop your concentration skills. It's very unpleasant the first few weeks of practice. shrug

But when you get control of it, I'm told lol , you can limit your fears, negative thoughts, and thus your stress.. among other benefits.

I think he's got a relaxing voice.

Did anybody ever see that PBS/BBC show from the 1970s called 'Cosmos'? It was some scientist called Carl Sagan narrating an animated trip across the universe. He had a relaxing voice to my ears too.

I'd forgotten just how trippy that show was until I just watched that clip.
