I'm going to sound like such a party poop here but if any other minority group started their own pride thread, it would be dealt with , at least in my opinion, with a bit more respect.

One would gasp if an African American appreciation thread were started and everyone posted pictures of people eating fried chicken, or photos from Hotghetto mess.

Or if I started my own Asian American appreciation thread and everyone posted product placement adds from Engrish.com or film snippets from 16 Candles or any number of tacky 80s movies that depicted Asians in a less-than-dignified light.
