Our firm accrues All Purpose Leave (APL) hours...I get 7 hrs accrued for every 2 full weeks that I work (40hrs per)...right now I have 65 hrs total that I can take...believe it or not, there are some people that are down to nothing for their APL...sickos... 
The problem with this system is that, if i ever got seriously sick, there goes my APL and I have to build it up again. My other job, even though it was lower profile, I got 5 weeks vacation per year plus 6 sick days. [Edited 6/20/07 14:53pm] Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Sick/Personal Days: Unlimited Duvet Days from my holiday entitlement of 30 days; Also have the chance to take Emergency Holidays without pay. Sick pay is full pay for the first six months of illness within a twelve month period and then half-pay after that. Holidays: Seven Public Holidays, if that's what you mean Vacation: Thirty days. Blue Collar/White Collar? White collar. I'm currently off-sick until July 3rd. | |

And that for most folks, if they take a personal/sick day, they lose money or get fired. 
WTF America? I live in the US so I guess the answer would be not enough especially since I just took a 2 week vacation and I am on borrowed time. 
Let's see - we have 6 paid holidays 14 days sick/vacation/PTO time wrapped into one
