Just watched Dying Young with Julia Roberts for the first time and I bawled my eyes out :(

Man... I never cry during movies though I thought this film was so sincere and I cried towards the end like a baby. I'm a tad ashamed of how pathetic I must of looked, but I am hormonal at the moment people. My face is still blotchy and my nose is still red and I watched the movie nearly an hour ago lol

I cried too, but only because I sat on my balls.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I remember studying that in highschool... and that was a while ago. It was very good though.

"Dying Young" sucked. I honestly believe that Julia Roberts has only been responsible for one good movie , "Pretty Woman". Every other movie she has starred in has irritated the piss out of me.
All good things they say never last...

I saw it once a long time ago, and cried too! But if THIS made you cry, then you may (or may NOT) want to check out the all time classic, 'Love Story', starring Ali Mcgraw & Ryan O'Neal....it will CRUSH you fit fit fit fit fit

I hate that movie. The guy's reaction to his treatments, are so exaggerated. It's movies like that, that make people faced with cancer treatments terrified. I've been on so many different chemos (currently 15 months without a break), and it's never been that bad.

I know Cambell Scott was supposed to be sexy and all in that movie, but he just seemed creepy to me. I'm not talking about the scenes where he's throwing up and stuff, but where he's all googly eyes for her. It just felt like a Prince love scene--creepy. lol

He was much better in "Singles"

God, those movies suck. lol

I remember liking the movie when it came out but I was maybe 14 or something. I thought Campbell Scott was hot. I watched it again years later and thought it was AWFUL! lol

However, any good die-at-the-end movie is good for a nice, superficial yet cathartic cry when you need one.

The Julia Roberts tear-jerker that gets me everytime is the overly sappy, formulaic, predictable, but still sad as all get out Step-Mom.....

....literally chanting as I watch it....I'm not gonna cry....I'm not gonna cry....then bawl like a lil beyotch!!!!...

Like that scene in Forest Gump where he makes that little speech to Jenny after she's passed away. I have to fight so hard not to just cry into a pillow.

Yeah, I think I have seen it, years ago though. Barely anything makes me cry, I didn't cry during Titanic the first time through, all my friends did. I think it depends on my mood and whether I give a shit about the characters or not.... but something came over me during this movie....unexplainable.

Buddy, I know exactly how you feel. I NEVER cry infront of people during movies (or at any other time in my life for that matter), it's always when I am by myself. When I watched this movie I was home alone, so I had the chance to let it all out, it was a healthy expression...of emotion...I guess? lol

Yeah I know... I thought that during the movie, I know people who are currently experiencing chemo and is definitely not that extreme. That bit didn't make me cry, it was more the end couple of scenes. I hope it is all going well for you though. Good Luck.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of his either, I was more interested in what Julia's character was experiencing. I have never liked Campbell anyway, I have only seen him in about 3 movies....and I didn't really like any of them.

I really never liked Forest Gump, so I can't feel your pain. But I know the feeling of trying to hold back tears in order to retain atleast an ounce of dignity...lol.. (for me anyway)
