An average night for me now is around 5 hours.....sometimes I'll use energy supplements though redface

wow, i wish i could count on five hours of sleep to make me feel refreshed the next day. i can survive on that, but i feel like stale chapped ass.

I used to be a 9-10 hour of sleep a night girl, but lately it's been maybe 6 a night and then I seriously CRASH on weekends. It's not good. I'll get up early but if I'm not out and about and active I can nap all day. And that's no good either.

Maybe about 9:00am at the very latest and I think I slept that late because I was sick. I am an early riser no matter how late I go to bed.

if they had some kind of prescription pill that would let me feel safely and completely energized on two hours of sleep a night, i would totally become dependent on it. i LOVE the act of sleeping, but i think it's a terrible waste of time. i heard there's a certain kind of meditation you can do that compensates for sleep, but who has the time for that? too tired. yawn

Most weekends I'm up by 6 ish. Even when I'm up late I can't sleep all that late, but I may nap several times throughout the day. lol There were times in my 20's when my sleep schedule was all off that I'd sleep till 3 or something, but that's cause I hadn't gone to bed till 10am. confused

lol I can't really do those choppy sleeps. If I'm interrupted more than once then I can't get back to sleep. One time is still annoying, but I don't mind so much on the weekend. During the week if someone wakes me up earlier than it's time for me to get up, it really pisses me off, but it's only if they wake me up 30 minutes to 1 hour early. mad

About 5 or 5:30pm.

Usually I sleep until noon on the weekends...and I hate it. It makes me feel so lazy but I have serious sleep issues that have plagued me for years. I have no problem staying up until 2am--3am, but I hate, hate, hate getting up in the morning.

I am so tired by the weekend from staying up during the weeknights and having to get up for work (which I'm always late for) that I crash on Saturdays & Sundays. Then Sunday night rolls around and it's insomnia again and the whole thing vicious cycle starts over. Today I actually got up at 11am, but then I starting cleaning my room and fell asleep from 5:30pm--9pm. So now I'm not going to be able to fall asleep. sigh Maybe I'll take an Ambien...

I've even gone to a neurologist--she said it's just the way my circadian rhythms are...I guess I'm just not meant to be a morning person. Not that I want to wake up at the butt crack of dawn every day, but I'd love to be able to wake up on time for work and by 10 on weekends. sad

I slept an entire three-day weekend save for a few pee breaks once. But that was only because I'd just come out of the ER and I had little strength to move.

Yeah, I rarely take them. The neurologist gave me a prescription, but by the time I figure out I can't sleep and should take one; it's like 2am and too late to take one (cause you need to allow 8 hours for sleep). I just have them as "emergency" back up. I don't even like to take aspirin.

I might have to take one tonight though...I have a shit load of stuff to do at work tomorrow and cannot afford to be up all night tossing & turning.

Yeah, it works okay. Basically you take it an hour or so before you want to sleep and it makes you fall asleep. zzz I've never had any problems with it making me groggy the next day. But again, I don't take it on a regular basis...I don't want to become dependent on it to fall asleep.

Have you tried melatin? You can buy that over the counter and it has a similar effect. I tried that too (again neurologist recommended). I hated it though...it made me feel like a zombie. Within 20 minutes I couldn't even focus/stay awake and I just ended up sleeping more and feeling out of it the next day. At least with Ambien I fall asleep, but don't feel so jacked up the next day.

No, I haven't even tried over the counter stuff. I guess it depends on the person.....Melatin might work o.k with me. My insomnia isn't something that's major enough for prescription meds, I don't think. I just have maybe one night a week where I can't sleep at all. I know the zombie feeling too, but that comes from me occasionally taking energy pills for whenever I feel sluggish during the day. redface
