Hmm, most of the time I feel like I am unhappy, and I'm probably to blame for it. I really have nothing to be unhappy about, but the fear of being alone for the rest of my life makes me feel like a crabby person at times...and I beat myself up over it.

But happiness to me is:

Inner peace with yourself, and the decisions that you make.

thanks for the compliment. it's crazy because there are a lot of good things happening for me in my life, but i seem to always want more good things to happen for myself as good things are happening. I guess you can look at it as, looking at whats not happening that I want to happen that hasn't happened yet....was that a tongue twister? i'm thinking too much.

I seek happiness in the small moments of life, and try to appreciate each one - getting a compliment from the one I love or just hearing his voice, having all three of my pets cuddling with me on the bed at the same time, the sound of a light breeze in the trees in the summer...a field of flowers in bloom, Uzie acting silly, my niece going "BOOM! BOOM!" when she's imitating thunder and she's stomping like a mini Sumo wrestler all the while...a slow snowfall on a crisp winter night, the stillness and quiet that comes with it...my father demanding a hug before we part every time we've spent time together even though it's often. Those and many more... they make it worth going on with it all.

When I feel needed by others.

My definition of happiness is doing whatever you want to do in life, and not giving a rat's ass who approves or disapproves of it. It's gotten to the point in my life where I've realized that I need to start doing what I need/want to do, and to hell with anybody who finds fault with it or disapproves.
