This has been a dilema of mine ever since I moved out on my own. Are you bored? No. Well kinda. I'm supposed to be helping a friend move, and I blew her off. I'm a bad friend. Anyways, I just took my kids shower curtain down and its in the wash. GAURANTEED it comes out messed up and there goes 30 bucks down the drain.

i went ahead and spent 14 bucks on one of those never-mildew shower curtains and i'll be damned - it never mildews! it's gotten a few spots on it now that it's summer, but they wash right off. go to bed bath and beyonce and spend a few extra bucks on one. if you think about how many cheap shower curtain liners you go through, you're saving money in the long run.
oh, and i think cloth decorative shower curtains are a waste of money. just get a good sturdy shower liner and decorate your bathroom really minimal and white. it feels cleaner that way.

I usually just keep it until it gets gross and then I buy a new one. Like you said, washing them doesn't really work.

[Edited 6/16/07 9:03am] I like the cabinets in their kitchen, but WTF is with the white walls???? If I had cabinets like that, my walls would NOT be white!!!! Were SUPPOSED to get new countertops with income tax, and my cabinets are so dark.....what kinda counter tops do ya think Anx?

Yeah I TOTALLY know what your talking about. I want new cabinets but thats not gonna happen so I have to work with what we have. I like dark wood, but not this color we have. Its like walnuttie. That green color would look good.....cause my kitchen opens up to this....see wall with the mirror on it.....and then the hall is solid the light color. [Edited 6/16/07 9:18am]

[Edited 6/16/07 9:18am] that green glassy color would look AWESOME with brick plus it's kinda neutral and classy looking - it doesn't jump out, but it's very soothing to the eye and to the touch. not that i sell countertops for a living and am looking for a commission or anything

Ok...even if you buy a cheap shower curtain...put it in the washer on delicate with a little clorox. Spin and re-hang. Good as new. "Let love be your perfect weapon..." ~~Andy Biersack

Woman, all you have to do is spray the most toxic cleaner you have all over the spots, let it sit for a minute, and scrub off.
I've found that I get no mildew as long as I make sure it's all the way closed after showering. When I had to share a bathroom, though, it wasn't possible. So, counters are getting done after taxes? When, next year? Oh shit, my hat done fell off
